Why hello there!
About
eight years ago I was stricken with the insatiable urge to be good at cooking.
Perhaps it was all of the new types of food I was being exposed to living in a
big city or perhaps it was a side effect of the burning rubber drifting off of
the highways. Either way, it resulted in a culinary journey that has culminated
into what you are reading today.
I
am completely self taught. I started cooking in college to save money, to be
healthy, and because I didn’t want to be eating out and relying on frozen
dinners by the time I had kids. I kept
cooking after developing a mild obsession for trying new things, food blogs,
Martha Stewart, and “making things look pretty”. Finding inspiration is a great
way to make something that seems like a chore into something you truly enjoy
doing. I have also had an incredible support network of family and friends who
were always there to enjoy the fruits of my labor.
Currently,
I live in Atlanta, GA with a wonderful husband and two fuzzy goofballs. I work
full-time during the day, frequently attend a martial arts class in the evenings
and cook and bake on a regular basis in my tiny apartment kitchen.
In
this blog, I will be sharing reliable recipes and instructions for baking and
cooking. Recipes that will inspire you to try something new while still being
manageable to attempt on a busy weeknight. Mixed in will be tips for making
your life easier in the kitchen as well as silly anecdotes about experiences
from past and present.

you need any help along the way, have any recipe requests, or just want to say hi, feel free to email me at
